BOSS DF-2 modification

A little annoyance with this box is that you have to hold your foot on pedal to keep feedback going.I used latching circuit to turn feddback ON after 2 seconds of hold and release. Short stomp will act as normal effect ON-OFF.

It's hard to squeez additional board inside BOSS box, so make it as small as you can. For clones it doesn't matter... Full schematic is available on the net, so I just include pics of mod spots.

Fat Head Ribbon mic - view from repair bench

One of the most affordable and good sounding ribbons on the market. The main problem I see is it's "Fat Head, Skinny Neck". The magnet assembly and grill weigh more than the rest of mic, but it's designed to be held by two tiny ( less than 2mm size) screws/rivets. You can clear see people try to "secure" it by applying epoxy, but it'll never hold...

Frequent failure is torn ribbon, can be easy fixed/replaced. Two red painted screws are holding ribbon in place and provide electrical contact with PCB.There's no internal shockmount, but it's provided externally. If you are tech savy and careful- it's a good deal. But still WTF with that skinny neck?!
